The AMERICAN Refinery History:
- Project was started in KSA 1988 and inaugurated 1992 the plant is semi-automatic
- (TULSA OKLAHOMA) and was designed to work for all the three types of crude from BASRA. The refinery was commissioned to produce turbine fuel and diesel oil products of desired quality for 10 decades.
- The plant was fed by a 1450km long pipe line from BASRAH. It was disbanded first due to geopolitical conditions of that time. According to reports available for inspection it seems to have worked only for 28days at actual.
Production Capacity:
- As per the documents & drawings available the intake capacity of this plant is meant for the distillation of Hydrocarbons
- Rated Plant capacity = 25,000 Barrels of light crude oil/day = 9,000,000.00 Barrels/Annum.
With the possibility of increasing the production capacity to 25,000 Barrels /day under an attached contract and an additional cost.
The recovery of final product will be as follow: (an assumption based on general crude):
- Product distillate
- Petrol (benzene or gasoline)
- Diesel
- Kerosene (jetfuel)
- Other distillate (heating oil)
- Lube cuts
